Obituary of Bayli Jocelyn Gerber

     Bailey Gerber was born on January 9th, 2002. She blessed us with her wonderful soul until the age of 20. I'm so sorry to see her leave us on the 27th day of August, 2022.

     She went to Blue Oak Elementary in the years of 2008 through 2013. She blessed Camerado Middle School for one year during the 2013 - 2014 school semester. As we moved out to Groveland in the Years 2014 - 2016, she attended Tenaya Elementary School. I will never forget how bored she was at first, so one day she wanted to meet kids around her. She had just heard about how the skate park was being shut down. She decided to go to Pine Mountain Lake to make a petition. She had people sign it and saved and reopened the Pine Mountain Lake Skate park. Not knowing but by doing so she had won the junior Citizenship Award by the county and Community during the well-known yearly 49ers parade in groveland. She decided she wanted to graduate from Monterey High. She entered an essay that got her a chance to fly to Europe to attend Oxford college in Cambridge London for a few weeks. That is when she learned what great things can happen in life when you just believe. Throughout high school she carried a 3.0 - 3.4 GPA and upon graduation she received a membership from The National Society of High School Scholars.

     For the most part she loved challenges and she would give her all to do the best she could. She has always been brave, courageous, funny, outgoing, intelligent, strong and she had always made it easy to be around. In my eyes, my favorite person. We love you Bailey you will be missed.

     Bayli is survived by her mother, Chenoa Gerber, father, Derrek Northam, first stepfather, Gene Bist, and stepfather, Mike Sidenstricker, grandmothers, Chiyioko Ono and Joy Whitney, grandfathers, Richard Peterson, Gary Gerber, and Carl Northam, and great grandparents, Carl and Jenice Northam, aunt, Tamara Anderson, uncle, Robert Northam, and her beloved cousins, Riley Anderson, Cassandra Greer, and the Greer family.
