Obituary of Stephen Edward Auldridge

Stephen (Steve) E. Auldridge, 73, of Grizzly Flats, CA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 16 April 2024 following a 22-year battle with cancer due to his exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam.

 

He was born in Sacramento, CA on 6 Jun 1950 and was the son of the late Zelma Carney Auldridge and Edward Rowland. He was a graduate of Mira Loma High School in Sacramento, CA in June of 1968. He went on to serve with distinction in the U.S. Army from 1971-1973 after being drafted in 1971 during the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in Chu Lai, Vietnam. He served his country further as a Communications Specialist with U.S. State Department serving in Tel Aviv, Israel, Mexico City, Mexico, Sinai Mission, Egypt, Seoul, Korea, Maseru, Lesotho, Frankfurt, Germany, Kinsasha, Zaire (now the Republic of Congo), Tunis, Tunisia, and finally Nairobi, Kenya.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Wendy Budnick Auldridge, sons Stevan (Jessica) of Oroville, CA and Seth (Nicole) Auldridge of Cedarville, CA, grandchildren Sandra Auldridge of The Colony, TX, Dan Auldridge of Paris, France, Saxon (Belaida) Auldridge of Yuba City, CA, Shannara Auldridge of Sacramento, CA, Camryn (Tyler) McLellan of Deatsville, AL, Collin White of Bonaire, GA, Garrett White, Samrya Auldridge, Selene Auldridge and Stevie Auldridge all of Oroville, CA and Nerick, Nile, Lucian, and Lotus Auldridge all of Cedarville, CA. He has one great grandchild, John Aiden McLellan of Deatsville, AL. He is also survived by his brother Bill (Tina) Auldridge of Chilcoot, CA and sister Sandy Auldridge of Sacramento, CA. 

 

A viewing will be held on Saturday, 27 April 2024 between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at El Dorado Funeral & Cremation Services, 1004 Marshall Way, Placerville, CA 95667.
